Get thee to the jazz festival!

The Twin Cities Jazz Festival starts tomorrow (Thursday, June 28) and runs through Saturday in Saint Paul. The main stage is in Mears Park in Lowertown, but there are great shows at over a dozen other St. Paul venues to check also...so check it out!

We're a little late with this week's update, but we had a great turnout of players on Monday evening, including: Sam-bass/trpt, Gene-drums, Craig-guitar, Tim-guitar, Josh-guitar, Todd-trpt, Steve-alto sax, and newcomer Jack on trumpet. Welcome Jack! Our vocalists were Annie, Sheila, Vici, and Dick.

Sweatin' with the oldies

Who needs air conditioning?!? It was a little warm tonight but we had a good turnout for the workshop. Tonight's tunes include:

Whew...we got a nice break from the hot weekend weather yesterday, and a number of folks took advantage of it to play some cool jazz to celebrate. Here's the breakdown:
